“Le Samouraï” (1967) is a film about an assassin who possesses the characteristics and code of a Samurai. This film is one of many Western Culture films which uses Japanese Samurai topic to tell a story. eg: Kill Bill.

By re-creating the opening credit scene for “Le Samouraï,” I hope to add a new perspective to the Samurai stereotype for the viewer, thus altering the expectation. Alongside, adding components of easily recognisable elements of James Bond type visuals and music to add to the stereotype.
